We visited this past Sunday to adopt a new friend. We were taken care of by Jennifer, who really took the time to get to know us and what kind of cat we were looking for. The entire staff was helpful and insightful during the process, and we left with our new friend Moon! The name was given by the shelter but we liked it so much we decided to keep it! I can’t recommend this shelter enough, it’s a little out of the way but worth it.
If you love cats please go visit this shelter! It's lovely, there are so many amazing cats! The employees are very sweet as well. Bring your friends who want to adopt a cat! Please don't be taken back with the smell when you first enter the place!
The cats seem well taken care of and get time to run around and aren't cramped in too tiny of spaces it seemed. The staff are super helpful and seem like they have the cat's best interests in mind. Wonderful experience and we were so excited to adopt two of our own

I have lived in Atlanta all my life. Over the last twenty years Furkids has come to the rescue of more cats and kittens than I can remember. They always answer their emails quickly and are genuinely interested in helping cats and kittens. I can not thank them enough for all they have done over the years. Anytime, I have reached out to them they have found a way to help. I don’t know what Atlanta would do without Furkids!! The latest kitty that I called about and they agreed to help. Thank you Furkids! You are an incredible group of people.
Went to the Paws for Cocktails event and had a great time. Beautiful event venue and grounds. We also got to see kitties and a few pups while we were there. The facilities are clean, and you can tell the animals are well taken care of at Furkids.
Helpful information but no direct help in sheltering, fostering or rehoming my 4 male 8 year old house cats.
UPDATE: 3/31/2023
Furkids was able to provide assistance in fostering my four 8 year old boys. I know they have a chance to live the rest of their lives in a better home than I can provide.
While I will still financially support rescue organizations, I know I will miss being one of the heroes in our state who actually step up and provide homes to unwanted and abandoned dogs and cats. Donations are essential; actual home space whether foster or a forever home saves lives.
